Chapter 1

“Hey—don’t touch me!”

The voice cuts sharp.

Camera WHIP-PANS—

the boy.

Small.

Dirty clothes.

Hand pulled back instantly.

Eyes wide.

Hurt—but controlled.

“She has the same hair…”

Camera PUSHES IN—

the woman.

Irritation fading—

replaced by confusion.

“What are you talking about?”

The boy looks up at her.

Steady now.

“My mom said I’d find you here…”

The noise around them starts to die.

Guests turn.

Watching.

Phones slowly rise.

The boy opens his small hand—

EXTREME CLOSE-UP—

a silver jeweled hair clip.

Worn.

Familiar.

The woman freezes.

Her breath stops.

“That’s… impossible…”

A tear rolls down the boy’s cheek.

“She said you’d say that…”

All sound drops.

Complete silence.

The woman leans forward—fast—

panic breaking through.

“Where is she?!”

The boy doesn’t answer.

He just turns his head.

Slowly.

Camera follows—

gliding past tables—

past frozen guests—

toward the hedge-lined walkway.

💥

A woman stands there.

Still.

Watching.

Same face.

Identical.

The glass slips from the main woman’s hand—

SHATTERS loudly on the marble.

Gasps ripple through the crowd.

Camera PUSHES IN—

closer—

closer—

Beside the identical woman—

a man stands.

Unmoving.

Watching them.

Impossible.

The main woman’s face collapses—

fear—

recognition—

disbelief—

“…that’s not possible…”

The heartbeat rises—

loud—

relentless—

Camera CLOSE-UP—

her eyes trembling—

May you like

the past crashing in—

—and just as she tries to step forward—
