“No... She will be getting a letter from us tomorrow to preserve anything she has done as well to make sure that she’s not violating the law. During an appearance on ABC’s This Week, Pritzker addressed President Donald Trump’s recent social media post declaring that both the governor and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson “should be in jail for failing to protect ICE officers.”
Pritzker’s response? He essentially dared the President of the United States to follow through, telling reporters, “Come and get me.”
VIOLENCE IN THE STREETS
Trump’s fury toward Chicago leadership stems from a deeply disturbing incident a week prior. According to dispatch audio and internal messages, Chicago police officers responding to assist federal agents who were surrounded by an anti-ICE mob were allegedly instructed to stand down.
The danger to federal law enforcement is incredibly real. While patrolling about 15 miles from the anti-ICE demonstrations outside a processing center in the suburb of Broadview, federal agents were ambushed. According to federal officials, after agents attempted to escape their vehicle, a woman armed with a semi-automatic weapon allegedly tried to drive directly into them. She was shot by officers and taken into custody.
As left-wing leaders continue to fuel the anti-ICE rhetoric, the Department of Justice is making it crystal clear: no one is above the law.
“We are going to protect all of our law enforcement agents, and these politicians are not going to get away with it anymore,” Bondi promised.

This is exactly the kind of strong, no-nonsense leadership America needs. Radical Democrats are once again putting partisan obstruction above their constitutional duty to the people of Texas. Instead of debating and voting like elected officials, they ran away to Chicago to stall a legitimate redistricting process that could add more Republican seats in the 2026 midterms.
The Texas House needs at least 100 of its 150 members present to conduct business. With about 50 Democrats missing, the radical left is deliberately sabotaging the democratic process because they know they cannot win fairly at the ballot box.
Attorney General Ken Paxton has already stated the lawmakers “should be found and arrested no matter where they go.” Abbott made it clear that legislators who abandon their offices can be removed under the Texas Constitution, creating vacancies he can swiftly fill.
The radical Democrats responded with their typical defiance, posting “Come and take it.” But Abbott is standing firm, and the law is on his side.
