Robbins noted that the committee had attempted to contact Omar’s office multiple times without receiving a response. The congresswoman has been asked to submit the requested materials and answers by May 5.
Omar has not publicly responded to the letter as of this report.
The Feeding Our Future investigation is one of the largest fraud cases tied to pandemic relief funding. Federal prosecutors have said the scheme involved hundreds of millions of dollars in improperly obtained funds through fraudulent meal distribution sites and false reimbursement claims.
