Supreme Court Issues Landmark Decision - Liberal Justices Furious After Conservative Majority Rules In Favor Of Officer In ...

WASHINGTON — THE LANDMARK VICTORY FOR THE THIN BLUE LINE

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court has delivered a massive victory for law and order. In a 6-3 ruling, the conservative majority stood firm against the radical left's attempt to dismantle police protections across the country.

The case of Zorn v. Linton centered on a Vermont state police sergeant. Sgt. Jacob Zorn faced a lawsuit from a healthcare protester. The high court ruled Monday that he is entitled to qualified immunity for his actions.

This unsigned per curiam decision reversed a lower court ruling. The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals had previously allowed the case to proceed. The Supreme Court effectively silenced that liberal judicial overreach.

The justices emphasized that officers are generally shielded from liability. They argued that Sgt. Zorn’s actions did not violate "clearly established" law. His conduct was not unconstitutional "beyond debate."

THE INCIDENT: RESISTANCE MEETS LAWFUL FORCE

The 2015 incident occurred during a sit-in at the Vermont capitol. Protester Shela Linton refused to leave after the building closed. Sgt. Zorn provided ample warning before utilizing a routine wristlock to move her.

Linton alleged physical and psychological injuries from the arrest. However, the court found the 2nd Circuit relied on irrelevant prior cases. A routine wristlock on a resistant protester is not a constitutional violation.
