Washington D.C. — A whistleblower has alleged that former Attorney General William Barr conspired with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to pursue charges against former President Donald Trump.
Patricia Lélis, who worked for media personality Armstrong Williams’ public relations firm in 2021, claimed she attended dozens of meetings in Washington, D.C., between 2021 and 2023. She said the meetings involved Barr, Willis, and others, including Armstrong Williams.
Lélis provided Project Veritas with boxes of handwritten notes from the meetings. She alleged the group discussed legal strategies to obstruct Trump ahead of the 2024 election.
According to her notes, one meeting on September 6, 2021, included Barr and CNN commentator Shermichael Singleton. The group reportedly developed a media strategy to complement Congress’ January 6 investigation.
Lélis said Barr identified additional targets, including Steve Bannon, Rudy Giuliani, Stewart Rhodes, Enrique Tarrio, Jeffrey Clark, the Oath Keepers, and the Proud Boys. Most of these individuals later received subpoenas to testify before the January 6 committee.
Photos from March 15, 2022, show Barr entering Sinclair Broadcast Group, where he reportedly met with Willis and federal prosecutor Jack Smith. The meeting allegedly discussed impending charges Smith planned to file against Trump in Florida regarding classified documents.
Lélis recorded Barr predicting at the meeting that an FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago would happen “soon.” Five months later, agents raided Trump’s residence.
Meeting notes from January 19, 2023, indicate that Barr and Willis planned to meet again. Notes from February 27, 2023, confirm the meeting occurred. Lélis claimed Barr advised Willis to pursue RICO charges against Trump during that meeting.
Lélis told Project Veritas that Barr described racketeering charges as complicated and difficult to challenge under U.S. law. She said the primary objective of the meetings was to prevent Trump from returning to the presidency.
Lélis also alleged that Willis collaborated with a social media team to create “anti-Trump” posts and other content aimed at bolstering the prosecution.
Barr has not publicly responded to the allegations. Willis has previously denied any improper coordination in her cases.
The claims have renewed discussion about the origins of the Georgia election-related RICO charges against Trump and 18 co-defendants. The investigation into those charges remains ongoing in Fulton County.
Federal and congressional inquiries into the matter have not been announced at this time.

Virginia Supreme Court Strikes Down Democratic Congressional Map; Jeffries and Party Leaders Discuss Dramatic Responses
Washington, D.C. — The Virginia Supreme Court has overturned a voter-approved congressional redistricting plan backed by Democrats, dealing a significant setback to the party’s efforts to gain seats ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
In a 4-3 ruling issued Friday, the court concluded that the Democratic-controlled legislature failed to follow required procedures when placing a constitutional amendment on the ballot authorizing mid-decade redistricting. According to The New York Times, participants expressed frustration and considered several options, including what journalist Reid J. Epstein described as an “audacious and possibly far-fetched idea” to replace the entire state Supreme Court in order to reinstate the map.
“The most dramatic idea they discussed — which would involve an unusual gambit to replace the entire state Supreme Court, with a goal of reinstating their gerrymandered map — drew mixed reactions on the call,” Epstein reported.
Other ideas discussed included ways to flip two or three Republican-held seats under the current map and a “bank-shot proposal to redraw the congressional lines anyway.” Jeffries vowed that the ruling “will not stand,” and Democratic leaders in Virginia filed a motion late Friday seeking to pause the decision while pursuing an emergency appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
The call reflected what Epstein described as the “desperation and fury” currently gripping the party. It was not clear that the proposal to replace the court would be viable or palatable to Gov. Abigail Spanberger or Democrats in the Virginia General Assembly. A number of Virginia House Democrats participated in the discussion.
The ruling comes amid a broader national redistricting battle. A recent U.S. Supreme Court decision in Louisiana v. Callais significantly narrowed key provisions of the Voting Rights Act by ruling that racially drawn districts are unconstitutional, opening opportunities for Republicans in several Southern states. Alabama Asks Supreme Court to Restore 2023 Congressional Map; Redistricting Wars Shift Further Toward Republicans
Washington, D.C. — Alabama has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to allow the state to use a 2023 congressional map with one majority-Black district rather than a court-ordered map containing two such districts ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
Alabama Solicitor General A. Barrett Bowdre told the justices that the state should not be forced to “hold elections under a map that was erroneously ordered at best and unconstitutional at worst.” He argued that Americans deserve “a republic free of racial sorting now,” and that state officials should have the opportunity to provide it.
The request comes after the Supreme Court’s recent decision in Louisiana v. Callais, which significantly narrowed the parameters of Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act and declared that districts drawn specifically to favor race or an ethnic group are unconstitutional. Washington, D.C. — The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Housing for the 21st Century Act on Tuesday by a vote of 390-9, sending a bipartisan measure aimed at reducing regulatory barriers, modernizing federal housing programs, and expanding the nation’s housing supply to the Senate.
The legislation was co-sponsored by House Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill (R-AR) and Ranking Member Maxine Waters (D-CA). It cleared the committee in December before receiving near-unanimous support on the House floor.
